FullSizeRenderI am naturally a positive person.  I just love to wake up happy.  It took me a while to figure out that is not the case for a lot of people.  DUH!  So when a really great friend of mine, Gretchen,  asked me to go to the Bonnaroo Festival last year of course I had to say Yes.   Bonnaroo is a music festival who’s tagline is Radiate Positivity.   We were taking our teenage sons with us and had incredible VIP passes to the event.   Hmmmm radiate positivity sounds good to me.   The closer we got to going to the event something started to resonate with me about this phrase.  What did it mean to me?  Where would it take me?  Who would I meet and  how would I feel?   Gretchen has been a huge influence on me.  She is a naturally giving person.  She has the most open heart and is more than willing to help anyone.  Not only does she have an open heart but she never expects anything in return.   She is not a scorekeeper. Going to this event was going to be a blast .  Gretchen is the type of friend where we do not  hang out or talk everyday but I know in a split second she is always there for me.   So let’s go and radiate positivity.  The festival of music , the people, the location, our boys, everyone involved in the event actually did radiate a vibe that felt so good.  You naturally change when everyone is on the same wavelength.  I am talking about 100,000 humans  all happy, smiling, dancing, laughing and enjoying life on the farm . This was big.   I get it.  Wow no wonder it was such a huge success.  No one was waiting on the world to change..they changed.  People  went out of their way to help other people.  Kindness was at every turn.  I had  a feeling of giddiness.  A spark went off in me.   How do I keep this feeling alive?? I wanted to take it back to where I live.  Smiles, high fives and random acts of kindness.

Welcome to my  blog sunshine!! This is the place where I want to share how life can get better by the choices we make.   Let’s consciously hang out with people who bring us Joy.  Let’s walk away peacefully from those who cause us to feel pain.   No blame game or judgement just sweet choices that resonate good vibes.    Everyday is not a music festival with your besties….. or is it ??? Hmmm let’s think about this for a second.  What if I told you that everyday when your feet hit the floor you had a choice?? The choice is happy or sad? Pain or Joy?  Attitude or Gratitude?  What are the choices you make?  Have you ever taken inventory of your feelings?  What is your “calling card” in life?  How do you show up? I say let’s give this good vibes- positivity thing a chance.  How you respond to LIFE  matters. You and only YOU are the star, the director, and producer of this movie call “YOUR LIFE”.   If your movie is not playing out how you like, change the script or the characters.  Know that you are the main character.  I am not telling you to kill people off in the movie, but maybe just write them out of the script.  Don’t live the soap opera, have the big screen,  awesome, jaw dropping, action packed, romantic comedy!!! Darling you are the STAR.   Have what ever you want.  After all … who is better than you????

Will you join me in radiating positivity?  If you truly want every day to be filled with sparks of happiness you need to start by always being the first one around to be positive.  Pay someone a compliment, smile, open a door, listen, show gratitude, write a sticky love note.  Just start and see and feel how wonderful everyday can be.  Happiness is a magnet.

“Be the change YOU want to see in the World” said Ghandi. I believe with all of my heart this is what he was referring to.  If you are kinder to just one person, even yourself today, the world will be a better place.  Be kind, be gentle, radiate 🙂
